Privacy Policy
Road Roast is made by Jarda, LLC ("we", "us"). It's built so that your driving stays yours.
What stays on your phone
Your trips, drive logs, grudges (places you missed a turn), saved Home and Work, favorite places and recent destinations (with the name and address the search showed; recents can be turned off or cleared in Settings), remembered cars, and settings are stored only on your device. We don't have servers that receive them. Deleting the app deletes them. Drive logs leave your phone only if you share one yourself.
What leaves your phone, and why
- Routes and maps. To show the map and compute directions, your location and destination are sent to the map provider: Apple (Apple Maps) on iPhone and Mapbox on Android, under their privacy policies. Mapbox's software may also send anonymized usage and location telemetry; you can turn this off from the map's (i) menu.
- Purchases. Subscriptions are handled by the App Store or Google Play. We receive only whether your subscription is active, never your payment details.
- Voice. All of Road Roast's lines are recorded in advance and play from the app; nothing you say or do is sent to a voice service. The app may download new lines from our file storage (Supabase). Those are plain downloads of public files: the storage provider sees your IP address, as with any download, and we send nothing else. The app also reads a small public settings file there that says which app versions are still supported, so it can ask you to update.
- Usage statistics. The app keeps simple counts on your phone, such as trips started, shares, and paywall views. They never include your location, routes, destinations or personal details, and this version does not send them anywhere. You can turn them off in Settings > Share anonymous usage.
Location permission
Used only for navigation, including in the background during a trip so guidance continues with the screen off.
Age
Road Roast is intended for users aged 13 and older and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
Before unlocking Filthy mode, the app checks your age using your phone's age signal (Apple's Declared Age Range or Google Play's age signals) or by asking you. It keeps only the result (whether Filthy is allowed) and the date of the last check, on your phone, so it doesn't ask every time. Your age or age range is never stored or sent to us. If we learn we have inadvertently collected personal information from a child under 13, we will delete it.

Your privacy rights
You have the right to access, delete, or correct your personal data. We don't keep personal data about you on our servers: it's on your phone, where you can change or delete it in Settings or by deleting the app.
